Safe start/run modules are typically used on equipment with recoil start systems to prevent them from starting in gear and/or running without an operator present.
Safe start modules require one input signal (typically a neutral switch) to be closed to permit the magneto to fire the spark plug of an engine. After starting, the input state may change, and the engine will continue to run.
Safe start / safe run modules have the safe start functionality of the 0903 series. After starting, to keep the engine running, a second input (typically an operator presence switch) must be closed before the starting input is opened.

Time delay modules provide a time delay for a relay from when a switch opens until the effect of the state change is imposed on the electrical system.
